We took to the Art Deco filled streets of Napier, Hawke’s Bay to capture this styled shoot in a collaboration with a talented bunch of local suppliers and Daisy Brides – all credits are below the images.
I love the architecture in Napier (a city rebuilt in the architectural period of the time following a devastating earthquake in 1931 ). Situated beside the seaside, with swaying palm trees, you might easily think you were in Miami.
I wanted to showcase a different side to Hawke’s Bay Bridal shoots away from the vineyards ( as stunning as they are ! ). I wanted to tell a story against an urban backdrop, about a freshly married couple who just got hitched at the local hall / registry office and are strolling about in the city, and they get to celebrate with donuts!.. just because you have eloped shouldn’t mean you have to miss out on wedding cake !
